The REALM program publicly recognizes excellent literary magazines produced by students with the support of their teachers. REALM is designed to encourage all schools to develop literary magazines that celebrate the art and craft of writing.


To Enter:

Entries will be accepted until July 31.

  • All applicants must complete the online application form which includes uploading an electronic copy of your magazine.
  • Submit the $25 entry fee.
    • You may pay online via the checkout cart on this page.
    • Pay by check. Please mail your check, along with the following information: your name, school name, address, and an email for a receipt. Make your check out to NCTE and mail it to National Council of Teachers of English, PO Box 14054, St. Louis, MO 63178-4054

    We are waiving the entry fee for first-time submissions. Please indicate if this is your first time applying on the application form.
