Description

What happens when student voice takes center stage in setting the course for curriculum decisions? This is the first session of the Culturally Relevant Teaching in Early Childhood Classrooms series, in which student-led dramatic play and stories provide culturally meaningful and engaging literacy experiences for children typically underserved in early childhood classrooms (e.g., children of color, bilingual children, children with identified special needs, children in low-income communities). Join members of the 2015-2017 cohort of the Professional Dyads of Culturally Relevant Teaching as they share what they are learning from their own research and inquiry to intentionally shift their classroom practices.
