Student Membership

Students who are employed in a paid teaching position on less than a half-time basis are eligible for student membership. Student members do not vote in NCTE elections but receive journals and other benefits at reduced prices. Membership in NCTE connects you with the research, resources, community, and scholarship your need as a student. Membership provides immediate access to over 30,000 literacy educators from around the nation and thousands of NCTE journal articles.  Eligibility for the student rate is capped at five years (with the exception of members who are able to demonstrate that they are full-time students and are not engaged in paid teaching more than one-half time). Because of the reduced rates for Student membership, no refunds can be made for cancellation after membership has begun.

NCTE Members gain online access to all NCTE journals (K-16 levels) published more than two years ago.
